ISTANBUL – Turkish Airlines are calling on international investors to “Invest in Turkey” in a logo on the fuselage of an Airbus-330.

The promotional aircraft is to fly to a number of destinations to promote Turkey across the world, Turkish Airlines said Tuesday.

Introducing the jet at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, Chairman Ilker Ayci said: “We would like to draw the world’s attention to investing in Turkey. This text will travel around the world on the plane and invite foreign investors to Turkey.”

The airline and the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of the Turkish prime minister’s office have worked together on the project.

“This plane that will carry our slogan ‘Invest in Turkey’ in the sky will be a source of pride for us,” Arda Ermut, president of the agency, said.

Turkish Airlines has been a member Star Alliance, of the world’s largest airline group, since 2008. Ranked as the best airline in Europe since 2011, the company flies to 283 destinations in 111 countries.
