United Pilot Removed From Plane After Rant About Her Divorce and Donald Trump


A United Airlines pilot was removed and replaced from the plane before take off on Saturday after she reportedly went on a rant about Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and her divorce on the plane’s intercom.

On Saturday, a United Airlines pilot reportedly started going off on a rant about Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton and her divorce on the plane’s intercom, before she was eventually removed from the plane.

The Incident

According to Reuters, the pilot reportedly came aboard the plane in normal clothing, rather than the usual pilot uniform. The United Flight 455 was headed to Austin, Texas from San Francisco International Airport.

According to Pam O’Neal, a passenger on the flight: “She shows up dressed like a civilian and asks to us to take a vote to see whether she should change into her uniform or fly as is.”

The pilot then reportedly used the plane’s intercom to call both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton “a**holes.”

“She started off by saying that she had not voted for either Trump or Clinton because they’re a bunch of liars… It just really sort of went downhill from there and didn’t make a lot of sense to any of us.”

The pilot then continued to say that she was going through a divorce, and commented on an interracial couple seated in first-class, saying “yay unity.”

According to Reuters, the pilot was removed and replaced shortly after- the whole incident causing about a two-hour delay.

Comments From the Airline

United said in a statement: “We hold our employees to the highest standards and replaced the pilot with a new one to operate the flight, which has since departed Austin. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.” Charles Hobart, a spokesperson for the airline, declined to comment further.
